Juraj Stanik is a real musician’s musician. He graduated with honours from The Hague Conservatory, was the winner of the Pall Mall Export Swing Award, and he won the Leverkusen Jazz Award with the quintet “Five Up High”.
Pianist Juraj Stanik has performed in concerts with big names from the international and national jazz scene. He has worked closely together with Toon Roos, Ben van den Dungen & Jarmo Hoogendijk 5-tet and Ack van Rooyen. Juraj was on stage with Benny Golson, Chris Potter, Pat Metheny and many others.
One of The Netherlands’ best-kept secrets is that he is a mesmerising solo pianist.

His playing always sounds fresh and expressive, on the one hand influenced by modern jazz heroes like Herbie Hancock and Mulgrew Miller, and on the other by classical composers like Chopin, Debussy and Bartók.
Juraj Stanik’s new album is called Inside Out (Challenge Records) and was recorded with his lauded companions, double bassist Frans van der Hoeven and drummer Roberto Pistolesi.
