Thijs Bonger continues his search for piano etudes. Today part XX. 19th Century Italy had fallen under the spell of the opera. Still, there were brave figures who rowed against the current and made instrumental music. One of them was Giovanni Sgambati(1841-1914), a pupil and a good friend of Liszt. Wagner loved his music and made sure it was released.
