An educational programme featuring early music. Giovanni Paolo Cima, born 450 years ago.

Cima was an unknown contemporary of Monteverdi and Frescobaldi. He came from a musical family and worked as an organist and music master in Milan. In 1610 he published his ‘Concerti Ecclesiastici’.

He also published the collection ‘Sei sonata per instrumenti a due, tre, e quarto voces’ with instrumental music.

In this episode we’ll play music from both collections.
