Orchestra leader, composer and pianist Duke Ellington (1899–1974). In the programme Duke Ellington (part 291) you will hear the CD From Bach to Ellington, featuring a concert recorded at the Bird’s Eye Club in Basel in August 2024 by pianist Michael Arbenz and tenor saxophonist Andy Sheppard.
