Soul Jazz from the fifties, sixties and seventies: THE SINGING ALTO SAX, an episode about saxophone player Hank Crawford. Bennie “Hank” Crawford’s albums with Atlantic are drenched in gospel, blues and soul. No surprise; his Atlantic output was largely realized together with colleagues from the Ray Charles band, of which Crawford was an important member.
