Today the second episode of THESE ARE SOULFUL DAYS, a three-part portrait of organ player Don Patterson. Patterson frequently accompanied saxophonist Sonny Stitt. He also worked with saxophonist Eric Kloss. On his 1967 and 1968 records as a leader on Prestige, Petterson presented modern jazz and bebop with the cooperation of Charles McPherson, Howard McGhee, and Pat Martino.
