Soul Jazz from the fifties

Today, the second and final part of GATOR TAIL, a portrait of tenor saxophonist WILLIS JACKSON. In the first part of the 1960s, Jackson remained extremely popular. With the gradual decline of the chitlin’ circuit of black clubs, Jackson’s career also declined, but he continued to make records steadily, initially mainly for Prestige, and later for the Muse label among others. Jackson passed away in 1987.
