Piano player Jack Wilson (1936-2007) was born in Chicago but moved to Indiana where he studied piano at the Fort Wayne College of Music. He started with singer Dinah Washington and moved to Los Angeles in 1962. Over there band leader Gerald Wilson, saxophone player Curtis Amy, vibraphone player Roy Ayers and singer Nancy Wilson gladly made use of his original qualities.
