Tenor saxophone player Dexter Gordon (1923-1990) part 2. One of the most important hard bop soloists of the mid-fifties and after. His muscled and broad sound and beautiful timing were an example for many after him such as colleague John Coltrane. Recordings from 1962 with Sonny Clark – piano, Butch Warren – bass and Billy Higgins – percussion.
