Trumpet player Kenny Dorham (1924-1972) part 1. After his successes with the Jazz Messengers he was asked for albums under his own name by record company Blue Note.
In 1956 he played with a sextet in Cafe Bohemia in New York.
The other musicians: tenor player J.R. Monterose, guitar player Kenny Burrell, piano player Bobby Timmons, bass player Sam Jones and percussion player Arthur Edgehill.
