The American tenor saxophone player and composer Benny Golson (1929). In the fifties he became known with the Jazz Messengers of drummer Art Blakey and went his own way as a soloist, bandleader and composer next. Today beautiful but pretty unknown quartet recordings from 1962 which include piano players Wynton Kelly and Tommy Flanagan.
