From the age of eight, Johann Nepomuk Hummel lived with Mozart for two years, who shaped him thoroughly. This made for his idol’s music to seep through his veins. Today a sample of Hummel’s accomplishments regarding works by Mozart. We will hear his resourceful adaptation for piano of Mozart famous 40th symphony in G minor, and a chamber music performance of his piano concert KV 466 in D minor.
