Latin Jazz part 1. The first early Latin Jazz in the US. Recording from the early 40’s with African and Caribbean influences in music of Duke Ellington. Also tracks from 1946 from the Dizzy Gillespie Big Band with legendary conguero Chano Pozo. In addition recordings of Chano Pozo with a percussion group in a Afro-Cuban chanting and pieces of James Moody and his Bopmen.
