L’Esprit Baroque

sun 23 jun 2019 15:00 hrs

The baroque spirit in all his musical shapes. The two latest editions of Naïve label’s grand project The Vivaldi Edition: arias and cantatas for alto by Delphine Galou and Accademia Bizantina conducted by Ottavio Dantone.

Miraculously, the Turin National Library could purchase an extraordinary collection of autographs approximately 450 handwritings by Antonio Vivaldi. An extremely important source to learn more about Vivaldi’s religious music and operas, as many of these works were/are still unknown. In the meantime, an ambitious project ‘The Vivaldi Edition’ is releasing all this music on CD. In this hour, we will play a large part of the 2 latest CDs, volumes 59 and 60.
