The Dutch composer and organist: Hendrik Andriessen.
Hendrik Andriessen occupies a special place in twentieth-century Dutch music. Born in 1892, he developed into a composer in whose work craftsmanship, tradition and personal expression come together in a rare balance.
His music is deeply connected to the Catholic culture in which he was formed, while at the same time remaining open to influences from France and to a restrained modernism.
