In this Mariama the third and last part of Desert Blues, with music from the Sahara.

We will play some songs of Cheikh Lo – singer, guitarist and percussionist from Burkina Faso – from two of his albums Ne la Thiass and Bambay Gueej.
A selection has been made of acoustic blues songs from part two of Desert Blues under the record label Network. Majid Bekkas sings the song Daymallah (God is great), religious blues of a oppressed people.Boubacar Traoré, also called Kar Kar plays mostly beautiful bluesy ballads from West Africa. Lobi Traoré is also known as the ‘Bambara Bluesman’ in Mali. At a young age he listened to American blues, especially John Lee Hooker. We will also play music of Djeli Moussa Diawara from Guinea. He is a composer and a skillful kora player.
To conclude Abaji. He is a multi instrumentalist from Lebanon. The Lebanese singer Khalil Gibran is his biggest example, but also music from Mali, Alegria and the Sahara is a source of inspiration for him.
