Unfortunately, there was never a Mrs. Beethoven. Beethoven was a very famous and brilliant composer, but a lonely soul in love. He fell in love with women from higher social circles multiple times, but usually unanswered, and always without any tangible results. He wrote his most famous love letter to his mysterious “Unsterbliche Geliebte”, whose identity still remains unknown. Beethoven never married, but his feelings live on in his music. And we will hear them in this episode.
