On Sunday 18 December, Cappella Pratensis gave Christmas performance with polyphonic ‘rond de kribbe’ (around the manger) by Josquin Desprez. In this programme, ‘Kerst met Josquin in Ferrara”, Cappella Pratensis brings the music of Josquin Desprez, around Christmas celebrations in Ferrara. It’s a musical three-piece starting with the Annunciatie by the angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary, going through Christmas night itself and the mystery of Jesus’ birth, up to the Feast of Circumcision on 1 January.
