The cantata or the oratorio “Davidde penitente” was written by Mozart, commissioned by The Vienna “Society of Musicians”, and was executed for the first time on 13 March 1785 in the Court Theatre in Vienna. This hour, the oratorio can be heard in a performance by Sigiswald Kuijken.
