The earliest blues recordings.

Johnny Shines.

According to himself, Johnny Shines went around with Robert Johnson for a few years. After WWII, he only released three 78 records, which are very good but sold poorly. Then, he stopped playing the blues. In 1965, at the age of 50, he started performing again, and making records. Some examples:

Dynaflow blues
Black spider blues
Lay down my shoes and clothes
Sitting on top of the world
Ramblin’ blues
Tell me mama
Bumble bee blues
It ain’t nobody’s fault but mine
Arguing and boodling
Delta pine
Pony blues
Milk cow blues
Dynaflow blues
Glad rags
Pet rabbit
