Music by the Australian Dean brothers.
The clarinettist Paul Dean, born and raised in Brisbane, is widely regarded as one of Australia’s leading musicians. He is active as a soloist, chamber musician, composer and artistic director of several ensembles. In this programme we hear him as a composer in his Concerto for Double Bass and Orchestra and a number of his Lockdown Miniatures, written during the covid pandemic. As a clarinettist he performs Beggars and Angels by his brother, the composer Brett Dean.
