Nuove Musiche

thu 9 may 2013 14:00

This hour features a new, special CD with early music. Les Maries du Rhin, with Rhenish odes for Maria from around 1500 by Ala Aurea and Ars Choralis Cöln conducted by Maria Jonas.

In 2009 musicologist Ike de Loos (Utrecht) send the manuscript Berlin 190 to singer Maria Jonas, with the question if she could do something with it.
This was the beginning of Jonas’ search to Rhenish, Lower-Rhenish, and Netherlandish medieval songs, almost all with the theme Maria.
