This hour features a new, special CD with early music. On this new CD of The Spirit of Gambo, there is consort music, and especially In Nomine’s by Christopher Tye.
The sixteenth century English composer Christopher Tye was one of the first, who wrote music for gamba concorts. Over 30 works of him are delivered, including the 21 settings of In Nomine.
In 2014, the Dutch gamba consort The Spirit of Gambo came with their first CD dedicated to the provocative In Nomine’s by Christopher Tye.
