The eclectic Kronos Quartet is one of the most innovative string quartets, collaborating with contemporary composers of classical and avant-garde music, with jazz legends and artists from pop and world music. With the album You’ve Stolen My Heart, the quartet focuses on the largest and most productive industry in the world: the Indian Bollywood film industry, in which music and dance play an important role. The album pays tribute to one of Bollywood’s greatest film composers, Rahul Dev Burman. He has made music for more than 300 films. Particularly noteworthy is the cooperation of Burman’s wife, Asha Bhosle. She has sung more than 14,000 songs during her 50-year career in the Indian film and music industry.
