Mikael Stavöstrand (1972) is a Swedish composer and producer who currently lives and works in Los Angeles. He collects small pieces of audio and music. He uses these samples to make his own decompositions and he does this is in the form of contemporary ‘musique concrète’ and electro-acoustic music. Within this context, he is interested in coincidences and the unexpected. He also makes music for modern dance performances and sound installations. Since he lives and works in Los Angeles, his field of activity is especially moved towards techno music.
Lite is based on the sound material of an installation with the title “10klp” which he made for Artgenda 2000.
