Christian Roth set up the now famous netlabel Resting Bell in 2007. Resting Bell has taken a solid place in the world of Creative Commons with a collection of over a 100 and it looks like it will stay that way. Just like many other netlabels the first releases are often available in a lower mp3 compresssion quality. During the first years of the 21st century the speed of internet grew so much that it is now possible to download an album at the very acceptable 320kbps. Technology certainly helped us to make it easy to put at disposal faster music of higher quality. Resting Bell netlabel doesn’t have many releases with singing and once in a while there is an excursion to folk or noise but the atmosphere is often beautiful.
The variety of the netlabel is easy to hear on the twelve elected albums but especially the resemblance between the various artists and atmospheres is clearly present. Enjoy these albums and do search for more. You can easily navigate on the website and it has a large variety of download possibilities. And it is all free. Seduce yourself by dozens of artists with their own sound!
