Anton Bruckner’s impressive sixth symphony. As is well known, Bruckner was a doubter, often rewriting his works because he was unsure of their quality or structure.
During the 20th century, his music was performed more and more. In particular, the Concertgebouw Orchestra, with conductors Mengelberg, Jochum and Haitink, has always championed the scores of the modest organist from Linz. You will hear a performance by the Amsterdam orchestra from 1997, conducted by Riccardo Chailly.
