The American Club Foot Orchestra.
The company owes its name to the club founded by composer Richard Kelly in the late seventies in San Francisco. Kelly, who had been a student of John Cage and David Tudor, wanted to bridge the gap between serious music and light music. Or how he put it himself: ‘To fuse Frank Sinatra, Roy Orbison, and Albert Ayler’.
