Slipped through the net

The Czech singer songwriter Beate Bocek (photo) sings in the Polish language. That might be because she prefers Polish to Czech. This is certainly true for Andrea Konstankiewicz and Dorota Barová, two singing cellists from the Czech Republic. Andrea’s grandparents were Polish and as a child, she became enchanted by that strange, beautiful language she didn’t understand at all. Eventually, this fascination resulted in the unique works of the ladies’ duo Tara Fuki, in which the Polish language prevails.
