Singer and pianist Agnes Obel [see highlighted photo] from Copenhagen debuted in 2010 with the surprising album Philharmonics, for which she not only wrote the compositions but also all the arrangements. Her colleague Jullie Hjetland [see photo below] made the album Raek Mig Faklen with the group Basco. Basco is led by Ale Carr, who previously made a name for himself with Dreamers Circus, a trio on the cutting edge of folk and classical music.
