Quirky churchgoers with a passion for the organ.
Guitarist Knut Reiersrud is fascinated by age-old Norwegian hymns. Together with organist Iver Kleive, he gave it a surprisingly contemporary twist on the album Himmelskip. Similarly, Irish singer-songwriter Pierce Turner doesn’t hide his love for the church organ. He recorded his album Love Can’t Always Be Articulate in the Lutheran church on Third Avenue in Manhattan, making grateful use of the available organ.
