A party without borders! Mixed by DJ Rafadelic
In this special end of the year mix, the focus is on party music with real musicans, 2016 releases only. DJ Rafadelic dedicates this mix to his cousin Mathias Peronnet, who is a huge fan of Manu Chao and Mano Negra, and who started a local radio show from his school in France.
Featured are the driving exotic funk of Los Fabulosos Cadillacs from Buenos Aires, Brasilian Afrobeat by Iconili, a funny Michael Jackson interpretation of the recent Herb Alpert album, and French Ethno-fusion Hiphop by Arat Kilo. More experimental sounds are coming from, among others, the Swedish The Weapon and American Golden Dawn Arkestra. Cheerful up-beat Ska and Mestiza are heard from Pannonia Allstars Ska Orchestra, DJ Fede, Dubioza Kollectiv & La Pegatina. Orkesta Mendoza (photo) has released a fantastic album, titled ¡Vamos A Guarachar!, filled with Mambo Mexicano and Cumbia. Just try and keep still!
