As the first composer, Mozart started working seriously with dissonances.

He did so in a string quartet that he dedicated to Haydn. At the time, this was both literally and figuratively unheard of. These dissonances inspired Haydn to represent chaos in his mega-popular oratorio ‘The Creation’. And Beethoven followed his example in a string quartet. On April 2, 1800, Beethoven organized his first concert, featuring not only his own works but also two pieces from ‘The Creation’. Success was guaranteed. We will reconstruct that concert.
