Pianist/composer Cecil Taylor (1929), part 2. Since 1960, he developed his own style with medium-sized groups, where simple themes are the starting point for collective and individual improvisations. A few other participants: saxophone players Archie Shepp and Jimmy Lyons, trumpet players Ted Curson or Eddie Gale Stevens, trombone player Roswell Rudd, bass players Henry Grimes and Alan Silva, and the percussionists Sunny Murray or Andrew Cyrille.
