With special attention for Belgian composer Daniel Schell.

1. Daniel Schell (tap-guitar) & Sandip Banerjee (tabla).
On the album ‘Green Birth’ duo Daniel Schell & Sandip Banerjee chose to freely explore an Hindustani style. Daniel signed for the compositions. Sandip Banerjee reaches the limits of the tabla, by playing with new ‘taala-s’ and expressions. The songs are brought to us like a symphony, sometimes according to the rules, sometimes wandering through the harmonies. Green Birth is fully based on Raaga Bhim palasii, a famous afternoon Raaga. CD: Green Birth by Daniel Schell & Sandip Banerjee. Label: Clic Music (2008). Website –  Video
Schell-Annegarn-Egmont.jpg2. Daniel Schell & Dick Annegarn.
In the seventies Daniel Schell was looking for the roots of the music from arount the time that the Netherlands and Belgium were united as the Netherlands. He discovered his own polyphonic musical style. The story of Egmont and the FF Boom is about the 16th century legend about the Count of Egmont who was killed by King Philip II, supported by the Catholic Church. The Flemish identity was in danger, and all intellectuals (and protestants) ran to the Netherlands.

Un Celte.jpg3. Daniel Schell & Karo.
Again with compositions inspired by medieval polyphony, but also by mathametics, minimalistic music, and the structure of jewels worn by the ancient Celts. Belgian composer Daniel Schell wrote these pieces for strings, clarinets, synthesizers, Chapman stick and percussion. Two songs: Un Celte and Gira girasol. Label. Clic Music (1998-1990). Video
