Jansberg
Henrik Jansberg is the driving force behind the band Jansberg, literally and figuratively. They play Danish folk and mix themes from Celtic music with their own compositions, which are mainly based on Danish traditional music. And even though you can clearly recognize the influence from the British Isles in this music, the emphasis still lies on Scandinavia. The title track, ‘Terra Nova’ is closest to traditional folk because of how it is executed.

Terakaft, pioneers of desert rock are back.The title ‘Alone’ was born out of the spiritual need to stay healthy in times of lies and broken dreams. It is their most rock oriented and poetic album so far. ‘Alone’ was produced by Justin Adams, one of the European artists who has studied Tuareg music. During these difficult times they made an album that presents the "Sahara rhythms" as a vital contemporary heartbeat. Beating on the ruins of the dreams of their people, they sing about true friendship and tolerance.

Souad Massi
Her songs are a protest mixed with memories from the classical poetry from the entire Arabic world, and although she sings in Arabic, the melodies are influenced by western ballads, jazz and reggae. Souad lives in Paris, but she has not forgotten Algeria, where she was born. Algeria is always present in her music and in her life. She sings about daily life there, without chauvinism or activism.
