With music from Gustavo Pazos Conde (Uruguay), Sinan Cem Eroğlu (Turkey), Decker – Malemprés (Belgium).
Gustavo Pazos Conde is not stuck in the traditions of the Rio de la Plata, but he finds his own interpretations in musical sources that are important to him. These sources are especially those from the Gaucho (an 18th-century cowboy), and the anonymous street drummers of Montevideo, the bandoneon of Dino Saluzzi, but also J.S. Bach, to name just a few. Estación Edén is Gustavos first solo album, which lists 13 intrumental compositions. Nine of these are his, and two are from Uruguayan modern composers, like Sergio Fernandez Cabrera and Walter Heinze. Cd. Estación Edén by Gustavo Pazos Conde. Sinan Cem Eroğlu.
He is a Turkish musician, composer, arranger and teacher. On the album Ocak, Sinan interprets works of world famous composers, like Ara Dinkjian, Ennio Morricone and Mikis Thedorakis. He plays the flute like a solo instrument for the micro tonal sounds and folk music of Anatolia. There are also melodies with jazz harmonies and improvisations which are not used before – at least not in Turkey. Cd. Ocak by Sinan Cem Eroğlu. Label: Ahenk Müzik / Xango Music (2015). Video
Decker – Malemprés.
This is an album with French libertine songs. No vulgarity, but not quite so innocent poetry either. The singers/musicians share the forbidden fruits with the audience, quality stories about: courtliness, flirtations, homosexual drama… like scenes from Cupid, Aphrodite and Venus. Cd. Chansons pour oreilles averties by Decker – Malemprés. Label: Homerecords (2016), code : 4446136. Video
