1- Live at De Parel van Zuilen by The Lasses & Kathryn Claire.
The Dutch Margot Merah and Sophie Janna from The Lasses group met the American Kathryn Claire during a singing session in the ‘Muligans Irish Bar’ in Amsterdam. And that night turned into a beautiful intercultural collaboration, and eventually led to this album, recorded live in ‘De Parel van Zuilen’. Migration of Nawaris.
Nawaris is the band of Iraqi former player Hussein Rassim, who wrote five of the ten compositions for this album Migration. The rest is partly traditional Iraqi music, except for a composition by cellist Juliette Lacroix. All in all a melancholic album, with four musicians who create a special atmosphere, also the game of Hussein Rassim, on the old, is movingly beautiful. CD. Migration – Nawaris. 3- Fitxadu by Sara Tavares.
Sara Tavares is a Portuguese singer, composer, guitarist and percussionist. She was born and raised in Lisbon, Portugal, where she still lives. Second generation Portuguese of Cape Verdean origin, she composes African, Portuguese and North American influenced world music. She composes creole languages in Portuguese and Portuguese. At the age of 16 she won an ‘Endemol song contest’, followed by a participation in the ‘Eurovision Song Contest’. Her recent work is much more influenced by jazz, soul and South American music. CD.
