‘Lost in Amsterdam’ is a walk through the streets of Amsterdam, discovering new canals and houses, and the magic of being lost in an unknown situation. Turkish, Indian and electronic sounds are combined on this CD. The musical and cultural traditions are assembled by the Dutch tabla player Heiko Dijker and the Turkish oud player Mehmet Polat.
Cd: ‘Lost in Amsterdam’ van Soulfullspirit. Label: Dijker–Polat (2008), code: IMCO001.
Tango extremo.jpgTango Extremo.
Tango is passion, and tango is always extreme music, with often soft, melodious passage alternated with intensity and shrilling action within a period of two or three minutes. Tango is for a long time cross-border music, and the most interesting new tango sometimes comes from Norway or other exotic places from where you would not expect it. On this CD, works are played by among others Sergei Prokofiev; Rob van Kreeveld; Bruno Martino and Richard Galliano.
Cd: Dama de Blanco van Tango Extremo. Label: Musica Extremo (2013).
