With CDs from Siavash Yazdanifar (Iran), Daniel Willem Gypsy Jazz Band (Belgium), Lily & Madeleine (USA).

Siavash Yazdanifar.
First solo experience for the Iranian percussionist Siavash Yazdanifar. ‘Cârèvâân’ takes us to the long caravans which crossed the deserts of the Middle East. Based on old lyrics and Persian mystic poetry, Siavash opens the way for lyrical and hypnotic atmospheres. The music offers us a mixed sound, at the intersection of various worlds.
CD: ‘Cârèvâân’ van Siavash Yazdanifar.
Label: Gong Records (2010), code: GR001. Distribution: Xango Music.
Daniel Willem.jpgDaniel Willem Gypsy Jazz Band.
Daniel Willem is a Belgian violinist who made a good name for himself in the jazz scene. This is his first real album. His jazzy violin playing reminds you of Django Reinhardt, Stephane Grappelli and the Roma tradition.
CD: ‘Sinto Swing’ by Daniel Willem Gypsy Jazz Band.
Label: Home Records (2014), code: 4446104.

Lily & Madeleine.
Lily-Madeleine.jpg
The sisters Lily and Madeleine almost sound to good to be true. They are young, stylish and talented. The two girls, 16 and 18 years, have turned up from “the middle of nowhere” (in Indiana, at least) and they sing the approriate song "In the Middle" which made a lot of furore on the Internet in 2013. They belong to the “most awesome” singers who can be found on Youtube.
CD: ‘The Weight of the Globe’ by Lily & Madeleine.
Label: Asthmatic Kitty Records (2013).
