Maria Bethânia, complete name: Maria Bethânia Vianna Telles Veloso, born in 1946, is a Brazilian singer and sister Caetano Veloso, the world famous
singer and guitarist. She started her career in 1964 in Rio de Janeiro. With her strong, calm voice and dramatic interpretation she is the second best selling Brazilian singer of all time with more than 26 million sold albums to her name.
