Ganelin Trio, part 1. In the mid-70s, this trio from Lithuania amazed the western world (from behind the Iron Curtain at the time): this was something that was never heard before. The trio was leader Vyacheslav Ganelin (1944) – keys and other instruments, Vladimir Chekasin – saxophones and other reeds, and percussionist Vladimir Tarasov. The years 1976-1979.
