In this second part of two programmes with folk music from the Indonesian islands, you can listen to music of Sulawesi (Celebes), Java, Sumatra, Soenda (that is West Java and the island Riau). These recordings are made in the nineties by Philip Yampolsky and were released as a series at the American label Smithsonian Folkways. In the programme all the played music pieces are thoroughly explained.
