Traditional folk music from the Ukraine
In the provincial parts of the Ukraine, folk songs are still a large part of life among the rural population. Ukraine folk songs are a sort of living chronicle that reflect the social, moral and aesthetic values as well as their world views.
These songs contain the essence of their character and show the most subtle feelings of the Ukrainian people. Each time frame and each new generation has contributed to keeping alive and improving this ‘treasure chamber’ of the folk tradition.
