The Art of the Improvisers

After saxophone player Alan Wakeman (Hammersmith, West London, 13 October 1947) graduated at the London College of Music in 1969, he wrote music for an octet. He did so, commissioned by the radio progamme BBC Jazzworkshop. Recently, Gearbox released these recordings on a double CD, and combined them with octet recordings for the progamma Jazz in Britain from 1979.
