The 78-year old percussionist Barry Altschul played with big names such as Paul Bley, Anthony Braxton, Chick Corea, and Sam Rivers.
He made beautiful music as well under his own name. Tonight, music with Braxton, Dave Holland, George Lewis, and Kenny Wheeler, in a trio with André Jaume and Barre Philips, and in his trio with Jon Irabagon and Joe Fonda.
