Manny Albam (1922-2001)
From the 1950’s and on, arranger and composer Manny Albam started building a name for himself as a contemporary producer of both self made records and records of prominent jazz artists including Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie and Sarah Vaughan. He was also one of the first to make a record of the music for West Side Story.
