Today on The Last Century we focus on American composer Henry Cowell.
Alongside Charles Ives, Cowell is known for his often experimental and avant-garde compositions. In his later life, he often created works for a wider audience with simpler melodies, harmonies and rhythms. Today on The Last Century we share some of those later works.
