Flor Alpaerts, the conductor of the Antwerp Zoo.
To say Antwerp, is to say Flor Alpaerts. This composer, conductor and pedagogue was an important catalyst of musical life in Flanders during the first half of the twentieth century. His best-known work is the James Ensor Suite from 1929, which translates four paintings by the Ostend master into sound.
