From the 17th-19th centuries, slaves from Africa and Madagascar, transported to Mauritius against their will, gradually forged their own identity in this land of exile. 4- Anuang’a Fernando.
A Kenyan dancer and choreographer who specializes in traditional Maasai dances and contemporary African dance. He formed his own dance company Maasai Vocals, which consists of seven male Maasai dancers. The traditional culture of most Kenyan communities is slowly disappearing, but the Maasai still hold on to their esteemed traditions, both music and dance. CD.
